Private League Derivative for TTM at THR ============================ Engine: - Type: HSV Injected V8 (Iron Lion) Group A - Configuration: 5.0L cross-plane V8 OHV 16V with EFI - Aspiration: natural with twin throttle manifold by TWR (inspired by Rover SD1) - Interesting fact: The Peter-Stevens-designed TWR bodykit improved drag and drastically lowered the lift, but did not cancel out all of it. Pros: - highest power of all - very high top speed - widest tyres (12") of all, on surprisingly light Perkins Dymag 17x11" magnesium rims - smooth power delivery - front carbon brakes from TWR's Jaguar Le Mans program Cons: - cold brakes are very difficult (steel rear starts bites at lower temps than carbon front) - highest weight & consumption - only 5 gears - TWR aero kit designed by Peter Stevens did not cancel out all aerodynamic lift - rear suspension is an asymmetrically-linked (3-link) live axle - very high rear unsprung mass ============================ Changelog v1.7.3 (TTM 2026) - tyres updated to TTM 2026 compounds - reworked springs, dampers, packer ranges and bumpstops by Syriker - improved CSP config for LOD B+C taillights - FINAL edit after RC phase: more detailed spring rate adjustments ------------------------------------------------- Changelog v1.7.2 (TTM 2025): 1. car.ini: - weight reduced by 125 kg to 1325 kg (ATCC) - installed 120L CAMS endurance tank & increased fuel consumption 2. suspension.ini: - revised front suspension geometry (angle-induced Y & Z offsets) - recalculated front & rear hub mass - rear axle geometry updated - softer front damper fastbump (2500->1500) hardcoded - stiffer default front damper bump (11250), softer rebound (2655) - BASEY updated 3. setup.ini: - 3 gearboxes (Borg Warner BT5G + 2x Holinger GRA-5) - fuel capacity: 120L endurance tank (same location as Group A) - added alternative gearset from 1990 - front damper bump adjustment MAX raised from 11250 to 15000 - converted all damper setup options to steps 4. 3D model: - added small left exhaust cutout - fixed material alpha of lit cockpit switches 5. collider.kn5 updated for better alignment to 3D model 6. colliders.ini updated to match adjusted center of gravity and graphics offset 7. tyres.ini: - recalculated angular inertia of wheels - recalculated (lowered) FZ0 - HX tyre: SURFACE_ROLLING_K=0.5641 (Delta 0.03 between compounds) 8. dash_cam.ini: moved dash cam back 2 cm and down 1 cm 9. flames.ini: revised positions to match chassis PE010 single side exhaust 10. analog_instruments.ini: updated fuel gauge for 120L CAMS endurance tank 11. drivetrain.ini: - differential revised (less coast, more lock) - new default gearbox Borg Warner BT5G 12. brakes.ini fully reworked 13. engine.ini: limiter raised by 500 rpm (result: 8500 rpm) 14. ext_config.ini: - fixed interior shading - new warning lights (fuel, oil pressure, voltage) - better exhaust smoke (true-to-life) v1.7.1 (TTM 2024 hotfix): tyres.ini: DY_REF and DX_REF of HX compound corrected ==== Basis ==== 1) RJE/Assettomods v1.5 mod: https://assettomods.com/atcc-group-a-pack-v1-5/ 2) plus adjustments by ACTK (v1.6) but but only two of his edits remain untouched: - collider.kn5 - wipers ==== Fundamental Changes for this TTM derivative ==== Physics Changes: Suspension: - NEW front STRUT suspension geometry with 3.63° caster - NEW rear AXLE suspension geometry with 2 lower trailing arms & 1 top right arm (RJE mod had a DWB) Reference: FIA Homologation & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FTX_KR2su8 Global Data Changes: - car.ini TOTALMASS=1525 to comply with 75 kg driver + 1450 kg mandate for 5.0L engines in DTM 1992 rulebook (note: we previously tested ATCC 1992 rulebook's 1325 kg but it was too OP with that) - car.ini Fuel consumption adjusted - car.ini Fuel tank rescaled to 83L (FIA homologation) and relocated to match PE010 tank location - analog_instruments.ini fuel gauge rescaled to match updated fuel capacity - lights.ini revised to use reflectors instead of illuminating a mistakenly opaque glass texture - colliders.ini adjusted again - dash_cam.ini adjusted - flames.ini relocated to match sidepipe exhaust position of chassis PE010 from ATCC 1992 season Tyre Changes: - Rim colliders for tyre compression rescaled to 17" diameter (8.5" radius) - Tyre Names reverted to DTM90s (it was the same tyre model anyway as on the Kunos 190E) - FZ0 of tyres increased by 33.33% to account for 12 inch wide racing tyres on 11 inch wide wheels as raced in ATCC since late 1990 season (baseline value: FZ0 from 9 inch wheels on 190E and M3) - Added DTM90s Hard compound tyre - Developed New DTM90s Extra Hard compound tyre Engine changes: - power.lut All-New engine torque curve based on dyno data of a Perkins Engineering Twin Throttle Group A engine with 13% friction loss factored in and extrapolated to the 8800 rpm reported for Perkins's Bathurst shootout lap. Video source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jj6jpZwRay4 - engine.ini revised for higher engine braking torque, higher rev limiter, higher damage threshold (Perkins revved it to 8800 in the 1992 Tooheys 1000 shootout) Gearbox (drivetrain.ini & final.rto): - gearbox replaced by Holinger 5-speed gearbox ratios from Group A homologation documents of the VL Commodore SS Group A SV (Extension 27/16V0 on Homologation A-5282) - final ratios replaced by those from the same homologation package - differential converted from 100% lock to 30% lock Setup.ini: - increased ground clearance adjustment range ------------------------------------------------ 3D Model & LOD Changes: - headlight glass glasslh_a_SUB1: shader change to KsPerPixelReflection, new texture - brake discs spun off into separate material, shader change to KsBrakedisc & addition of new Normals, Blur & Glow textures - new txDamageMask drawn & imported for body - new txNormals drawn & imported for body - new txDamage drawn & imported for body - new txDust drawn & imported for body Note: Damage & Dust only randomly affect the skirts on the front, side, and rear, because they're assigned to the same damage shader textures but mapped under a different UV map layout. ------------------------------------------------ All-New CSP Extension Config with following features: - headlight low/highbeam separation in LOD 0 - turn signals - reversing lights - tail & brake light effects with different brightness - working reflector in tail light assembly - custom oil pressure calculation & working gauge - customized exhaust flame behaviour - light exhaust smoke like on Perkins's 1992 Toohey's 1000 shootout lap - headlight glass set as photoelastic glass - deforming hood & rear spoiler in LOD 0 -------------------------------------------- Skins: renamed defaults, plus: from "ATCC 5L Touring Car Skins": https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/1995-bathurst-1000-car-livery-track-skin-pack.56012/ https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/1995-atcc-additional-car-skins-pack.54392/
