In their own words

F1 1970 Championship 2 · JAR - F1 1970 - R3 - Jarama

With P9 in the standings after Jarama 1995 BPR, what is the most important objective for the next round?

Well, at this point the objective is just to stay consistent and stay out of trouble. Qualifying has been my weak point so far which increases my chances of getting caught up in accidents in the early stages of the race. Until I can qualify further up front the first part of the race is usually about survival and getting into a rhythm, something I've thankfully been able to do in Mexico and Jarama. Let's see how it goes in Buenos Aires.

A brief review of the race: I had a clean start and managed to stay out of trouble for the first part of the lap despite being on the outside into T1, however just as I was thinking I might be in the clear I got caught up in an ongoing accident which damaged my front spoiler severely. I can only guess what my pace could have been without the damage, but as it turned out I had good speed throughout the race. I was not able to keep up with Davide who had also fallen back, but I could set my sights on reeling in Mika which I was able to do after he had a small off. In the meantime we we both catching Richard. After a battle that lasted about a dozen laps I was able to pressure him into opening up a gap into T1. Even though I had a slight off a bit later on myself I was able to catch up with Richard quite quickly and felt confident enough to pressure him. Eventually I found a gap braking for T1, settling for P6. Let's hope I can replicate that in Argentina!
